Painter and teacher, sculptor, printmaker and mural artist. He was born in Nottingham, son of the artist Edgar Woollatt. Studied at Nottingham College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools, where he won several scholarships and prizes, and Chelsea Polytechnic. Was married to the embroiderer and designer Louisa Woollatt. He taught at various art schools around Britain and exhibited at RA, in Arts Council shows, ROI and in the provinces. During World War II he was an Official War Artist in Exeter, his war paintings being housed at Exeter Record Office. He completed work on murals in Nottingham, at the Bank of England and elsewhere. Lived in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
