Artist in mixed media, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was said of his works that they were “still and silent … interiors of churches, abbeys, residences, abandoned by all except nature’s forces.” Wilson gained an honours degree in fine art from Brighton College of Art in 1982, in 1985 obtaining a master’s degree from University of Ulster. He contributed to many shows in Ireland, England, Germany, Hong Kong and America. These included Open Futures at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, 1987; Athena Art Awards, Barbican Centre, 1988; and Arts Council show Shocks to The System, Royal Festival Hall, 1991. Had a solo British Council show in Bucharest in 1992 which toured Romania before travelling to Bulgaria in 1993. Shared a show at Duncan Campbell Contemporary Art in 1993.
