Painter and teacher, born and lived in Monmouth, Gwent, who studied at Newport College of Art, 1956–61, under Thomas Rathmell. Went on to teach for 25 years in colleges of art, comprehensive and grammar schools. Showed at RA, RWA, RP, UA, Welsh Young Contemporaries, WSW and RWS. Among his portraits was the Duke of Gloucester and a number of commissions were carried out for British Steel, Rank Xerox and HTV. These companies, Contemporary Art Society and Welsh Office own examples. There was a retrospective at St David’s Hall, Cardiff, in 1996.
