Painter, illustrator, printmaker and teacher, studied at St Martin’s School of Art. For a period after graduating he taught and ran his own screenprinting business before settling near Hay-on-Wye, Breconshire. In early 1980s worked in California, where his work became known to a wider public, including show business notables. Williams’ interest in wildlife subjects lent itself to work for Country Living magazine, British Waterfowl Association, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and National Trust. He illustrated Richard Buckley’s award-winning children’s book The Bird Who Couldn’t Fly. Had a solo show at John Noott Twentieth Century, Broadway, 1991.
