Artist, born in Leicester, who did a foundation course at Leicester Polytechnic, 1985–6, and a degree in fine art, Nottingham Polytechnic, 1986–9. Two-man shows included British Rubbish, Independent Art Space, 1996, and Home Chance, 20 Rivington Street, 1997. In 1989–92 Webster had a residency at Dean Clough, Halifax, at the same time as Tim Noble, with whom she did joint work, held by the Saatchi Collection. Their shows, including Spacex Gallery, Exeter, 1999, and Apocalypse, RA, 2000, took a wry view of modern life, drawing on its detritus.
