Artist and teacher, born in North Walsham, Norfolk, who attended Norwich School of Art, 1949–53, then Slade School of Fine Art, 1955–7, under William Coldstream. Became senior lecturer/head of painting at Gloucestershire College of Art & Design/Gloucestershire College of Arts & Technology. Was a member of RWA, which holds his work, also exhibiting at RA Summer Exhibition and other venues. Lived in Oakridge Lynch, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
