Artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, who studied at Heatherley’s School of Art, 1984–5, Chelsea School of Art, 1986–8, and Royal College of Art, 1988–90, gaining its Travel Award, to Paris, in 1989. She also gained an Alkazzi Award in 1990. Exhibitions included Into the Nineties II, Mall Galleries, 1990; Six Colombian Artists, Gimpel Gils, 1991; Abstraction I at Paton Gallery, 1993; and Paton Gallery at The Economist, 1994, where abstracts employing coloured rectangles were a feature. Paton held her first London solo exhibition later that year. Consolidated Real Estate, Geneva, holds her work.
