Painter, notably of animals, born in Kirkcudbright. Studied at Edinburgh School of Art, Slade School of Fine Art, Westminster School of Art under Walter Sickert, at Frank Calderon’s School of Animal Painting and at Académie Julian, Paris. Exhibited extensively at RBA of which he was a member, also at Lefevre Gallery, Walker’s Galleries, RA and NEAC. He completed a portrait of Lord Snell for Chatham House, London. Lived in Meopham, Kent.
