Painter inclined to abstraction, he studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1960–4, Slade School of Fine Art, 1966–8, then gained a John Brinkley Fellowship, Norwich, 1970–1. Among his shows were McLellan Galleries, Glasgow, 1964; John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, 1965; LG, 1970; British Painting, Iceland, 1978; and in 1981 Painters + Sculptors from the Greenwich Studios at Woodlands Art Gallery. Municipal Gallery, Reykjavik, Iceland, and Arts Council hold his work.
