Painter of exuberantly coloured landscapes, still lifes and portraits, born in London, where she continued to live, also in Northamptonshire. She spent four years at Chelsea School of Art and a year at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, teachers including Brian Robb, Fred Brill, Raymond Coxon, Elisabeth Frink, Julian Trevelyan, Carel Weight and Jack Smith. Lady Spooner’s work was in numerous private collections.
