
Sculptor in variety of media including glass, and teacher, born in Birmingham, where he attended the College of Arts and Crafts, 1951–5. Seager settled in Stourbridge, Worcestershire, lecturing at the College of Art. Contemporary Art Society, Leeds City Art Gallery and Department of the Environment hold examples. Had several solo shows at Gimpel Fils from 1965. At various times Seager was preoccupied by figuration, Constructivism, Minimalism and draughtsmanship. Public sculptures by him include the stylised Youth, in concrete, in Birmingham, completed in 1959.
