Painter and illustrator, born in London as Harold Ian Ribbons. He studied at Beckenham School of Art and the Royal College of Art, 1947–51, with John Nash and Edward Bawden. He did a body of magazine illustrative work, also working for publishers such as Oxford University Press. Showed RA, Whitechapel Art Gallery and Young Contemporaries. Lived in London.
