Painter and artist in metal, but he is mainly known for his contribution to stained glassmaking. Born in London; married to the painter Anne Mary Bruce. After education at the Catholic public school Ampleforth College, Reyntiens studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art and won an Andrew Grant Fellowship. Exhibited with Arts Council and elsewhere, but is principally shown in places of worship throughout the British Isles. Many examples are listed in Mark Angus’s monograph Modern Stained Glass in British Churches: Ampleforth Abbey, Clifton School Chapel in Bristol, and in many parish churches. Wrote a standard book, The Technique of Stained Glass, and had a one-man show at Fine Art Society, 1990. Lived for many years in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire.
