Painter in oil, born in Reigate, Surrey. She studied with William Todd-Brown, principal of Redhill School of Art, then at Royal College of Art, 1930–3, on a scholarship under William Rothenstein, later in Paris at L’Académie de la Grande Chaumière. She was elected a member of NEAC in 1954 and ROI in 1962. Also exhibited at RA, RBA and in the provinces. Public galleries in Blackpool and Brighton hold examples of her work, which was representational. Had a studio for many years in Sutton, Surrey, dying in hospital at Carshalton. Her son Roger was also an artist.
