Painter, notable for portraits, born in Colne, Lancashire, who studied at Burnley College of Art, 1965–7, and Canterbury College of Art, 1967–70. He was included in John Moores Liverpool Exhibition from 1978, in that year winning a prize. Exhibitions also included Liverpool University, 1989, and Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, 1992. Appeared in John Player Portrait Awards at National Portrait Gallery, for which he completed a commission. Lived in Temple Sowerby, Penrith, Cumbria.
