
Artist in various media, including sculpture and ceramics, and teacher, born in Belgium. She attended Wolverhampton College of Art and Royal College of Art, where she studied ceramics. In 1978 was granted a British Council Arts Fellowhip to America and in 1981 a major show of her ceramic work was organised by the Crafts Council. Also showed at ICA and had solo exhibitions of sculpture at Whitechapel Art Gallery, 1985; Max Protetch in New York, 1986; and Riverside Studios, 1988. In 1992 participated in Somatic States at Quicksilver Place Gallery, Middlesex University. Latterly, Jacqueline Poncelet was mainly interested in working collaboratively, although she had a solo exhibition, Watching Trees Lounge, at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea, in 2006.
