Multi-media textile artist, painter in acrylic and teacher, born in Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, wife of the artist Laurence Roche. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art, 1963–7, teachers including Robin Philipson, Elizabeth Blackadder, John Houston and James Cumming, from 1989 attending creative embroidery classes. Was a practising artist from 1967, an art teacher, 1968–89. Pollock was an associate member of the Guild of Gloucestershire Craftsmen. “Christian faith, colour and light and the use of an infinite variety of materials” were cited as key features of her work. Showed with John Whibley Gallery, SSA, Ogle Gallery in Cheltenham, SSWA, Reading Museum and Art Gallery and elsewhere in mixed exhibitions. Solo shows included Chepstow Art Centre and Fiery Beacon Gallery, Painswick.
