Rosamund Plowright was born in 1907. She studied at Wimbledon School of Art, then at the Royal College of Art, graduating c.1934. During the 1930s, she spent summer holidays at Geldeston and was attracted by the Maltings, which she painted. She was still painting regularly until 2003 and died early in 2011.
