Abstract painter, born in Plymouth, Devon, who also taught. She attended Harrow School of Art, 1953–6, and Slade School of Fine Art, 1956–9. In the mid-1960s she lived for a short time in New York, returning to London. Perryman’s earlier works were ragged, flat-colour shapes, but by the time of the Camden Arts Centre’s 1967 Survey ’67 Abstract Painters her shapes gave slight suggestions of depth. Also exhibited at John Moores Liverpool Exhibition in 1965, LG and New Art Centre, from which Arts Council acquired Octave No 3, 1969, acrylic on canvas. She had had a solo show there in 1965. Leicestershire Education Committee also holds Perryman’s work.
