Painter and printmaker who esta-blished a reputation for lively illustrative work, much of it inspired by the landscapes and events in Breconshire, Herefordshire and Pembrokeshire. He was born in Llyswen and was educated at Brecon Boys Grammar School and Chelsea School of Art. For many years he worked in the printing industry as a graphic designer, draughtsman and photo-lab technician, but from 1992 was able to paint full-time. Had work commissioned by two Welsh language magazines, Barn and Prentis, and by the Welsh Development Agency. Had shows at Abergavenny and Hereford Museums and at Wyeside Arts Centre and showed in groups in Aberystwyth, Leddfa and Cardiff. In 1995 had a solo at Brecknock Museum in Brecon, where he lived.
