Printmaker, painter and teacher who studied painting and etching at Camberwell School of Art. He practised at White Ink, 1971–8, then was invited to set up an etching studio within Kelpra, 1978–1990. Oxley worked with a wide range of artists, including Bernard Cohen, Jim Dine, Elisabeth Frink, Gordon House, John Hoyland, Sidney Nolan, Victor Pasmore, John Piper, Richard Smith and Joe Tilson. He taught drawing and etching at London Guildhall University and had a studio in east Sussex. Exhibitions included Modern & Contemporary British Art at The Millinery Works, 2000. Oxley had work in public and private collections.
