Sculptor, wood-carver and teacher, born in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, son of an artist, Margaret Cole. He studied at West of England College of Art, Bristol, 1948–53, and at Royal College of Art, teachers including John Skeaping and Frank Dobson. Went on to teach sculpture at the College of Art/College of Further Education, Stafford, Staffordshire, where he lived. He was a member of Free Painters and Sculptors and showed with RBS, SPS, RWA, Galerie Salammbo in Paris and elsewhere abroad.
