Painter, born in Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, who studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, 1996–00, and the Royal College of Art, 2001–3. He was included in The Valley at Bloomberg SPACE in 2005, where the catalogue noted that Orr’s pictures “show what could be random scenes torn from the pages of a child’s book. They are painted in a style reminiscent of illustrations found in Ladybird Books from the 1960s…. His earlier paintings registered a search for strangeness recognisable in intention but not necessarily in the image.” Orr was included in Hide & Seek or Hidden Agenda, ACME, Los Angeles, America, 2003, and Expander, RA, 2004. Among his solo exhibitions was Of Both Worlds, IBID Projects, 2004.
