Painter of lyrical, allusive abstracts, born in London, who attended Norfolk Institute of Art & Design, 1991–4, then Royal College of Art, 1994–6. He gained The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers Award in 1994 and 1995; a Paris Studio Award, Cité Internationale des Arts, 1995; and in 1996 the Jardine Insurance and Daler-Rowney Awards. Group shows included Norwich Gallery, Norwich, 1993; The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, 1995; Midhurst Gallery, Sussex, 1996; and New Abstraction, Paton Gallery, 1997. Essex County Council and Aberdeen Art Gallery hold Ollivier’s work.
