
Artist and teacher, born in Glasgow, who studied at the School of Art there; at Patrick Allan-Fraser School of Art, Hospitalfield, Arbroath; and at L’Accademia, Venice. Went on to become head of art at Boclair Academy, Bearsden. Exhibitions included Stirling Gallery, 1980; Henderson and Hawick Galleries, 1981; Printmakers Drawing, Printmakers’ Workshop, Edinburgh, 1982; and in 1983 both Galleria del Cavallino in Venice and Scottish Print Open Three, organised by Dundee Printmakers’ Workshop. Murray was a member of RSW and showed at RSA. Scottish Arts Council and Dumbarton Burgh Council hold examples. Lived in Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire.
