Portrait and genre painter in a meticulous style whose pictures featured women and animals. She was born in Cardiff, south Wales, did foundation studies, 1980–1, at South Glamorgan Institute there, then attended Ruskin School of Drawing in Oxford, 1981–4, and did a master’s degree in fine art at City of Birmingham Polytechnic, 1986–7. Among Moore’s many awards were a travelling scholarship, Somerville College, Oxford, 1983; WAC Grant, 1986; Abbey Memorial Scholarship at British School, Rome 1992–3; and prizewinner, National Eisteddfod, Wales, 1994. In 1988 she had a residency at Delfina Studios Trust for two years. In addition to many group exhibitions had a series of solo shows, later ones including Long & Ryle Art International, 1991, and Martin Tinney Gallery, Cardiff, 1995.
