Engraver of coloured mezzotints and early in her career a painter, born in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. She studied at Lambeth, St John’s Wood and Royal Academy Schools and at Hubert von Herkomer’s School at Bushey, gaining a silver medal at South Kensington. She settled in Bushey, Hertfordshire, and showed at RA, SWA, ROI, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and elsewhere. The Duke of Sussex and Lady Castlereagh were among many portraits.
