Sculptor and teacher, born and lived in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. After a period with Josiah Wedgwood attended Royal College of Art, 1948–51. After teaching at Stoke-on-Trent College of Art was on staff of the North Staffordshire Polytechnic, then freelanced. His effigy of a steelworker in steel and a bronze of Sir Henry Doulton were both completed for Hanley.
