Artist using various materials and photography, born in Northern Ireland. In 1999 her current work, Down to Earth, comprised photographs of clouds, taken in Rome, later made into small cubes. McMullan studied sculpture in Cheltenham, in 1996 gained her master’s in fine art at Glasgow School of Art and was the Scottish Arts Council Scholar at the British School, Rome, 1997–8. Became a member of Glasgow Sculpture Studios where she worked on her first public commission, for BT Scotland’s new headquarters building, Edinburgh. Showed at the Fruitmarket and Stills Galleries both in Edinburgh, in London, elsewhere in Britain, and in America, Belgium and Germany.
