Painter and teacher, born Townhead, Glasgow, married to the artist Angela McCaffrey. He did foundation studies at Preston Polytechnic, 1983, then gained an honours degree in fine art, Wolverhampton Polytechnic, 1984–7. In 1987–90 was a visiting lecturer at Birmingham and Wolverhampton Polytechnics; taught part-time at Stafford College; then from 1990–2 lectured in art and design at Northbrook College, Worthing. His exhibition venues included Whitworth Young Contemporaries, 1987; Art Company, Leeds, 1989; East, at Norwich Gallery, 1991; East & South, at Norwich Gallery/Kent Institute of Art and Design, 1992; and joint show at Mina Renton Gallery, 1992. Lived in Worthing, Sussex.
