Painter of vivid, dramatic pictures who studied at Slade School of Fine Art, 1983–9. She gained a number of awards, including the David Bailey Travelling Scholarship, Catherine Maude Pearse Postgraduate Award, Rosa Morrison Award, Elizabeth Greenshields Award in 1987 and 1992, Boise Travelling Scholarship and Cyril Sweet Award for outstanding figurative work. In 1989 she was elected freeman of the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers. Taught at Slade Summer School. Mixed shows included Abbott and Holder, Austin/Desmond Fine Art, Heffer Gallery in Cambridge and New Grafton Gallery where she had a joint show in 1995 with Henrietta Young.
