Painter, notably of genre scenes, born in Anstruther, Fife, by profession a General Post Office telegraphist. Studied at Glasgow School of Art, settled in the city at Bearsden and had work acquired by its public gallery as well as General Post Office. Showed frequently at Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, RSA and with Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
