Painter, draughtsman and teacher who was born in Wales, attending Cardiff College of Art, 1957–62, and was Jubilee Fellow at Byam Shaw School of Art in 1963. From the early 1970s he taught at Byam Shaw, from 1980 as senior tutor, and was a tutor at Royal College of Art, 1985–6. His work drew on diverse sources, ranging from cartoon strips to Picasso, sometimes commenting on the bizarre aspects of modern life. Mixed appearances included John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, 1995–6. Had a first solo exhibition at University of Wales in 1974, others being at House Gallery, 1978 and 1981, Artspace Gallery in Aberdeen, 1983, and Concourse Gallery, 1993. Arts Council holds his work. Lived in London.
