Artist and teacher, whose “main subject matter is the land, altered by light and time.” She was born in Crynant, West Glamorgan, and studied under Alfred Janes at Swansea College of Art, 1952–7. Taught widely, being principal of Ystalyfera Adult Education Centre, 1980–9. In 1994 she gained a WAC travel grant to work in Newfoundland. Was a full member of the Welsh Group. Group exhibitions included Laing Art Competition, Mall Galleries, 1995; Invited Artists, RCamA, 1996; Wales Drawing Biennale, from 1997–8; and Celtic Connections, Glasgow, 1998. Among her later solo shows were The Wild and Sacred Lane, WAC tour, 1988–9; Brecknock Museum and Gallery, Brecon, and Rhondda Heritage Park Gallery, both from 1992, each holding her work; and University of Wales, Swansea, from 1993.
