Painter, mainly in oil, born and lived in Glasgow, where he studied at the School of Art under Fra Newbery and Maurice Greiffenhagen. Also studied on the continent, helped by a scholarship. Exhibited extensively at Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and ROI, also RSA, Paris Salon and elsewhere overseas. Glasgow Corporation bought his work.
