Watercolourist who studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1984–8. Awards included Elizabeth Greenshields Scholarship and W O Hutchison Prize for Drawing, both 1988; and Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award and Maude Gemmell Hutchison Award, both 1996. Gray was elected to RSW in 1995. Exhibitions included RSA, 1987; Atholl Gallery, Dunkeld, 1990; Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh International Festival Exhibition, 1996; Ainscough Contemporary Art, 1997, amusing watercolours of acrobatic animals; Corrymella Scott Gallery, Newcastle, 2001; and Green Gallery, 2004.
