Painter in oil, born at Penn, near Wolverhampton. Brought up in the West Country, he returned to study at Wolverhampton School of Art part-time, 1937–44, his teachers including Robert Emerson and John Holden. Exhibited RA and RBA. Lived in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire.
