Artist and teacher, born in Günzburg, Germany, who moved to London in 1996 to study for a master’s degree at the Royal College of Art, after which he divided his time between England and Germany. Taught painting at the University of Sunderland and Ruskin School, Oxford. Götz participated in many group exhibitions in Germany, Britain and Poland, solo shows including Mota Gallery and in Germany the Kunstraum, Wuppertal, and Städtisches Museum, Leverkusen. From 1993 Götz focused on wall paintings using the geometrical vocabulary of Constructivism, as in his site-specific work for the Goethe-Institut in 2000.
