
Painter and teacher, born in Cardiff, where he attended the College of Art in 1941–3 and 1947–51, interrupted by the war, his teachers including James Tarr, Ceri Richards and Evan Charlton. He went on to teach at the College for a time as well as at a number of Welsh schools including Lewis School in Caerphilly, where he lived. Showed LG, SEA, SWG, WAC and elsewhere. Goddard’s work was featured at the Washington Gallery, Cardiff, in 2003.
