Painter, restorer and gallery curator. Born in Prague, studied art there and in France, Austria and Spain. Exhibited RA and widely on the continent, including one-man shows. Prior to World War I he was a film studio artist for a short time. After World War II took over as curator at the Burton Art Gallery in Bideford, Devon, where he lived.
