Sculptor, draughtsman and teacher, born in Suffolk, where he set up a foundry at Laxfield and ran classes. Did a foundation course at Lowestoft College, 1983–4; gained his degree from Canterbury College of Art, 1985–88; and made postgraduate studies in bronze casting and sculpture at Royal College of Art, 1988–90. There he was awarded a Henry Moore Bursary, the Angelani Prize for Bronze Casting and an Intach Travelling Scholarship, enabling him to study in India traditional casting methods. Had solo shows at Chappel Galleries, Chappel, 1998, and John Russell Gallery, Ipswich, 2000. Lived in Yoxford, Suffolk, where in 2004 he showed Festival Sculptures, during Yoxford Arts Festival, at Gallery-26.
