Painter, especially of animals, born at Claughton, Birkenhead, Cheshire. After education in Birkenhead he studied at Munich Academy of Arts, winning a silver medal. Exhibited extensively at ROI, also at RCamA, RA and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Latterly lived at Mudeford, Hampshire.
