Abstract sculptor, born in Launceston, Cornwall. He studied 1981–5 at Exeter College of Art and Design and Goldsmiths’ College School of Art, gaining a bachelor’s degree in fine art. Took part in many mixed shows internationally and in Britain, including Venice Biennale, 1988; National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, 1989; in 1990 Newport Harbor Museum in California and South Bank Centre’s touring exhibition The British Art Show 1990. From 1987 had solo shows at Lisson Gallery, others including Primo Piano, Rome, 1989; Stichting De Appel Foundation, Amsterdam, 1990; Galerie Crousel-Robelin Bama, Paris, and Kunsthalle, Berne, 1991; and Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, Galleria Franz Paludetto, Turin, and Chisenhale Gallery, all in 1992.
