Painter of Hyper-Realist works, such as his oil on panel Caravan (Four), in John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, 1999. His solo exhibition Nothing Much, at Gainsborough’s House, Sudbury in 2000, examined anodyne corners of the urban landscape, including paintings, drawings, colour photographs and a video. Born in Margate, Kent, Dargan studied at Canterbury College of Art, 1983–6, gaining his master’s at Chelsea School of Art, 1987–8. He was artist-in-residence, Ipswich Town Football Club, 1989–90. Other group shows included Whitechapel Open and Royal Over-Seas League, both 1998. Other solo exhibitions included Estuary English, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, and Deadpan, Seven Interactive, both 1999. Lived in London.
