Sculptor in many materials, and designer, born in New York. She was educated in America, Sweden and France, her art tuition including Art Students’ League of New York, 1930–3, and Columbia University, 1935–40. Exhibited widely in several continents, especially in North America, including Festival of Britain in 1951. Solo exhibitions included Exeter University, 1969. Work widely reproduced, especially in architectural journals, and is held by Leeds and Liverpool Universities. Lived for periods in Manchester, Brighton and London.
