Watercolour painter, born in London, who studied at Lambeth School of Art, 1884–5, and Académie Julian, Paris, 1886–7. Exhibited prolifically, notably at Walker’s Galleries, RI, ROI and at Fine Art Society, as well as abroad. He painted widely in England and on the continent, publishing several books on the cathedral cities of England, Italy and Spain. Manchester City Art Gallery holds his work. Lived at Bridgwater, Somerset.
