Painter and art lecturer in adult education, born in London, where he settled. He studied at Leicester Polytechnic, 1966–9, Camberwell School of Art, 1974–8, and Goldsmiths’ College School of Art, 1978–9. His group show exhibitions included LG (elected 1999, president 2000), ROI, Whitechapel Open, RA Summer Exhibition and John Moores Exhibition, Liverpool, 1991–2. Had solo exhibitions at Sweet Waters Gallery, 1989, as well as Phoenix Gallery, 1991, the year that Painting Without a Brush appeared, and in the provinces. In 2003, Clossick shared a show with Anthony Eyton at Woodlands Art Gallery and participated in LG’s ninetieth-birthday celebrations at The Gallery in Cork Street and Gallery 27, writing an introduction to the commemorative volume.
