Painter and teacher who was born and lived in Aberdeen. He studied at Gray’s School of Art there, 1948–51. Was a member of RSW, mixed exhibition appearances including Young Scottish Contemporaries, Arts Council, 1963–4; Glasgow Group Exhibition, 1975–80; BWS, 1987; and Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh, Six East Coast Artists, 1990. Had a solo show at Gaumont Gallery, Aberdeen, 1954, later ones including University of Aberdeen, from 1970, and Torrance Gallery, Edinburgh, 1991. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Scottish Arts Council and many other Scottish public and private collections hold his work.
