Bird artist, born in London, who graduated from University College, London, as a zoologist in 1958, gaining his doctorate 11 years later. Went on to work in natural history department of British Museum. A keen ornithologist, he showed with SWLA of which he was a member, and his illustrations appeared in a number of bird books. Ulster Museum, Belfast, holds his work. Lived in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
