Renowned local Staffordshire artist June Burnett spent the early part of her life in Liverpool. She settled in Stoke-on-Trent, where she lived for many years in the impressive Victorian Gothic residence, Moneto House (locally known as the ‘Tower House’) on Ricardo Street in Dresden, Stoke-on-Trent. Burnett was a regular exhibitor at the annual art show organised by Keele University – the Three Counties Open exhibition, which showcased work by visual artists from across Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire.
